“Meine sieben Tanten” or “My seven aunts” is a documentation, an installation and a series of self-portraits, exhibited in January 2020 in Abir Kobeissi’s own apartment in Munich, as a part of an exhibition that was mainly about redrawing the lines of our intimate daily spaces.
Growing up having 7 aunts on her mother’s family side, has contributed to how the artist sees herself as a human being and especially as a woman of her society.
